Recalling skyscrapers and sci-fi cityscapes, the Disc and Ball Floor Lamp has a simple central structure, which is brought to life by the horizontal disc-shaped shade. Featuring two glass faces, the disc is edged with a thick band of brushed brass, which catches the light - glinting as one moves around the piece.
The double-sided shade beams light up and out as well as being cast downward, creating a column of light that engulfs, illuminates and enhances the design - and the lustre of its metal and marble surfaces.
Pierced with a thin pole, the design is given a sense of balance by the cylindrical tube of black marble at its base, and the small black finial at its apex.
